Leashes are an essential piece of equipment every surfer should have regardless of their ability. There are several brands and types but leashes can be easily be divided into 4 categories: competition, regular, big wave and longboard leashes.

Competition leashes are often used for small surf, they are thinner and shorter than normal leashes which reduces drag and allows a board to go faster on weak waves.

Regular leashes are used for anything from head high to double overhead surf. This is probably the most commonly used leash.
As you might have guessed, big wave leashes are used for big waves. They are longer than regular leashes, usually 7 feet of bigger and they are also a little bit thicker.

Longboard leashes are longer and thicker than regular leashes, they are huge because they are made for huge boards and if you plan on hanging ten you need your leash to be long enough.

Wait a minute… WAX¡. You will need wax, it is probably one of the most important items in our selection and we almost forgot to mention it. Surf wax will provide all the traction you need and will also give your board a great smell. Choosing the right kind is key if you want your session to go perfect. There are basically 3 kinds: For cold water, warm water and for tropical water. In the Mazatlan region you will need warm water wax in the winter and tropical wax from may to October. We carry sticky bumps, OAM and Bubble Gum.
